Richmond, Indiana
SANYO-Verbatim CD Company has
been given a 1998 State of Indiana Quality Improvement Award by Indiana Lieutenant
Governor Joseph E. Kernan.
The award recognizes companies that
have achieved measurable progress in improving quality, for instance by being certified by
the ISO or QS measurements of quality standards. Earlier this year, SANYO-Verbatim earned ISO 9002 certification for the manufacture and distribution of
audio CDs and CD-ROMs, as well as for the pre-mastering of compact disc program content.
"This honor reflects the
dedication of all our employees to pursuing the highest standards," said
SANYO-Verbatim President/CEO Tom Ryan. "It is gratifying when others recognize, as we
do, that Total Quality Commitment
is more than a slogan its a reality."
Lt. Gov. Kernan has called the
award-winning organizations "fine examples of what can be accomplished with a
dedication to excellence." Presentation was made October 26 at the Indiana Convention
Center in Indianapolis.
