SANYO Laser Products Supports American Troops Richmond, Indiana – SANYO Laser Products has announced the shipment of personal items to wounded American service men and women located at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany, a major hospital servicing the needs of wounded troops fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan. SANYO paid for all shipping costs associated with the shipment. Many SANYO personnel and others in the local community contributed items that filled a total of 52 boxes. Contribution efforts were coordinated through the assistance of two radio stations and were led by SANYO employee Randy Stinson, the logistics and purchasing manager for the SANYO operation. “Our Richmond and Wayne County community is a very caring place and SANYO has been a proud member of this community for over 18 years,” comments Mr. Stinson. “These donations of both tangible personal items and shipping are small gestures that show these brave men and women that we appreciate their efforts to keep the peace. Items sent included books and reading materials, disposable cameras, gift certificates and lots of loose clothing that will be comfortable.” When service personnel are wounded they are first sent to a field hospital, stabilized, and then are typically sent to a location like Landstuhl for further and ongoing medical attention. When a person arrives at such a hospital, they frequently do not have many personal items with them. So, items like those donated play an important role in passing the time in recuperation and in keeping spirits positive. With more than 17-years of disc manufacturing excellence, SANYO Laser Products is an industry pioneer in the production of innovative solutions for global users of CDs, DVDs and other optical disc products. This tradition continues as SANYO introduces the first CD based from corn. A largely bio-degradable disc, this “Mild Disc” can only be obtained from SANYO. Leading innovation, quality and customer service define what is SANYO Laser Products. To obtain further information on this
